1. Keep it simple:

2. Consistency in outlook:
If you want to keep the entire look and feel of the website consistent then you need to keep common UI elements consistent too. Then the user can navigate easily through your website. If you try your own navigation controls and tools then maintaining consistency becomes difficult. Stick to standard UI frameworks like JavaScript and jQuery. Using such frameworks will ensure consistency in your website.
3. Maintain page layout with perfection:
You need to design a good layout and this is one of the fundamentals of a good graphic design. This plays a crucial role for any website and the structure of the page should be based on the importance of elements. Every page item should be checked carefully and the most important keyword of the page should catch users' attention.
4. Communication with user:
The user interface should be designed in a way so that it becomes communicative and responsive to users. Proper feedback scheme should also be present on every website otherwise it creates a lot of anger among the customers.

While using colours you need to give special attention to UI items. You should highlight the important elements with right colours. You can follow a strategy for using the colours properly and in right proportion. For the website theme stick to maximum five colours.

To make the search forms more usable, results should be least confusing and website labels should be designed in a way so that the information comes out in a right manner. The form should be filled out from top to bottom and not left to right.
7. Scroll page should be infinite:
Users need not to stop, if not only they are forced to do so. If the content is interesting enough then no user will stop. Popular websites implement this design and when users think that they are done with reading an article then a continuous scroll comes up for the next one. In this way users find it easy to navigate through the website and readership also gets a huge boost.
8. Use a proper tagline:
The tagline can be anything – a statement about the company's mission or a brand advertisement. Philosophy sentences are also often used. This tagline creates an impression about your website. Make sure it's precise, catchy and unique enough.
9. Font Size:
If the font sizes of your website's content or article is easily readable and big enough then it creates better scope for any website. Improved screen resolution of modern computers require bigger font sizes.
10. Easy URL:
Users pay a lot of attention to URLs. If the URL looks complicated then users normally can't remember it, hence they will not revisit it. Keep it simple to be more memorable. Major companies use simplest URLs to ensure success of their websites.
